About the Project

Carbon Mixer for Schools is a One North East funded project to help teachers and students understand renewable energy. The Carbon Mixer for Schools software has been developed with teachers in the North East of England, and designed to fit with Key stage 4 of the National Curriculum.

Carbon Mixer for Schools is a version of Carbon Mixer Professional, which is used by architects and planners across the UK. The Carbon Mixer for Schools was developed by Narec, BG&A and CfDR for schools in the North East of England. The software demonstrates, through a range of simulated workplace challenges, the financial and carbon effects of running buildings with low carbon and renewable energy system.

The Carbon Mixer for Schools software is free to download from this website.
